Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a busy workshop to recruit a qualified Vehicle Technician. You’ll service and repair a wide range of vehicles, perform diagnostics, and carry out eVHC checks in a modern, process‑driven environment.

The role offers a strong basic salary (£39,232) with an OTE of £49,000 plus a time‑saved bonus and team profit share. A recognised Level 3 qualification is required; MOT licence is desirable and training is provided. Full-time, 45 hours per week, weekend rota.

Qualifications

• Qualified Vehicle Technician with Level 3 (IMI/City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Experience in servicing, warranty work and diagnostics.
• MOT Licence desirable; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain a wide range of vehicles, including diagnostic, warranty and repair work.
• Carry out maintenance tasks from oil changes to cambelt replacements, supported by digital job card systems.
• Carry out electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs) to high workshop standards.

The Role

As a Vehicle Technician, you’ll be responsible for:

• - Servicing and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, including diagnostic, warranty and repair work.
• - Completing maintenance tasks from oil changes to cambelt replacements, supported by digital job card systems.
• - Carrying out electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs) to high workshop standards.

What We’re Looking For

• - A recognised Level 3 qualification (IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• - Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic, ideally with both servicing and warranty exposure.
• - Strong teamwork, process discipline and a commitment to safety and quality.
• - MOT Licence is desirable, but full training can be provided.
• - A positive, proactive attitude and a desire to progress your career as a Vehicle Technician through accredited manufacturer training.
