Job summary

E-ppl Ltd is seeking an Automotive Vehicle Technician for Coventry-based projects with major manufacturers. You will handle re-works, component replacements and modifications to strict standards. This outside IR35 contract role offers a competitive hourly rate (£17.00–£25.61) with weekly pay and umbrella options.

You’ll need Level 3 IMI and a full UK B license, plus your own tool kit. Join a growing contractor team delivering high-profile vehicle manufacturing projects across the supply chain

Qualifications

• Valid Level 3 IMI qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Full UK B driving licence.
• Own range of tools.
• Experience on modern light vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle re-works & stripping/fitting to manufacturer standards.
• Component replacement and diagnosis of faulty parts.
• Modifications and assembly of light mechanical/electrical components.

About the Role

Join E-ppl Ltd as an Automotive Vehicle Technician on high-profile vehicle manufacturing and supply chain projects in Coventry. We are looking for versatile, all-round technicians capable of adapting to a full range of vehicle re-works, modifications, and component replacements to strict manufacturer standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Vehicle Re-works & Stripping/Fitting: Fit and strip mechanical and body parts, including interior trim, exterior panels, gearboxes, engines, and suspensions.
• Component Replacement: Diagnose, access, and replace damaged or defective components efficiently.
• Modifications & Assembly: Complete light mechanical, electrical, and trim modifications to original vehicle builds.
• Data & Time Tracking: Accurately log all completed repairs manually or on digital data systems, recording attendance and work times to manufacturer standards.

Location & Commute

Situated conveniently in Coventry, with direct access via the A45, A46, M6, and M42.

• Local Commuters: Easily accessible from Nuneaton, Bedworth, Rugby, Leamington Spa, Solihull, Birmingham, and the wider West Midlands / Warwickshire region.

Requirements

• Qualifications: Valid proof of Level 3 IMI (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Driving Licence: Full Category B UK Driving Licence (essential).
• Tools: Must have your own range of mechanical hand tools.
• Experience: Proven hands-on experience working on modern light motor vehicles within an automotive environment.
