Job summary

BMW Lincoln is seeking an experienced vehicle technician to join a professional team in Lincoln. The role features a standard Monday to Friday schedule with Saturdays on a rotation, and a starting salary of £37k rising to £40k for a senior.

OTE in the £50-£60k range uncapped, with extensive employee benefits and discounts. You will perform maintenance and repairs, inspect components, and provide expert advice to customers while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent required.
• A valid UK driving licence is essential.
• MOT licence advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality vehicle maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Conduct inspections of vehicle components to assess wear or replacements.
• Provide expert technical advice to customers with clear communication.
• Maintain excellent customer service and foster repeat business.
• Collaborate with service reception and workshop control for smooth workflow.
• Support fellow technicians with guidance and teamwork.

Working hours: Monday to Friday 8.30 - 5.30, 1 hr for lunch, Saturdays 1 in 3, 8.30 am till 1 pm.

Salary is dependent on experience, qualification and brand Knowledge. Starting Salary is £37k but can go up to £40k for a senior, plus bonus.

OTE is £50-£60k uncapped.

The Job

• Perform high-quality vehicle maintenance and repairs, following manufacturer standards and guidelines to ensure reliability and safety
• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicle components to assess wear, damage, or required replacements
• Provide expert technical advice to customers when necessary, ensuring clear and professional communication
• Maintain exceptional customer service standards, fostering trust that leads to repeat business and referrals
• Collaborate effectively with the service reception team and workshop control for seamless workflow and customer satisfaction
• Offer support and guidance to fellow Technicians in the workshop, promoting teamwork and knowledge sharing

About You

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent qualification
• Thorough understanding of vehicle safety standards and guidelines
• Strong problem-solving skills, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of work
• Proven ability to meet efficiency targets while maintaining a keen eye for detail
• Ability to collaborate and contribute positively within a team environment
• A current, valid MOT licence is advantageous but not essential
• Must hold a valid UK driving licence
