Job summary

Northgate Vehicle Hire in Leicester is hiring a Vehicle Technician to maintain and repair our fleet, ensuring safety and legal compliance for hire customers. You will work closely with the Workshop Controller and Manager, gaining direct mentorship while developing your technical skills.

The role benefits from IMI accredited training, a strong benefits package, and clear progression. Expect 42.5 weekly hours with overtime paid at time and a half, in a supportive workshop environment.

Qualifications

• At least three years' experience as a Vehicle Technician.
• Strong attitude and team spirit.
• Ability to keep vehicles safe and compliant with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair our fleet to ensure safety and legal compliance.
• Work alongside the Workshop Controller and Workshop Manager for guidance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and skill development.
• Participate in the company training programs and upskilling initiatives.

About you:As a Vehicle Technician you are responsible for the maintenance and repair of our vehicles to ensure they are safe and legally compliant for our customers to hire. If you’re a Vehicle Technician with at least three years’ experience - someone with a great attitude, a strong team spirit, and a genuine can-do approach - we want to hear from you.
About our training:We have our own internal IMI accredited training department, where we can upskill you on such things as Hybrid & EV vehicle repair, Tail lift, braking systems, electrics etc:

For those trained to Level 2, you can take a training needs analysis so we can build a personalised training program for you to increase your skillset.
