Job summary

Group 1 Automotive is seeking a Vehicle Technician (BMW) in Norwich to deliver high-quality maintenance and repairs to ensure safety and reliability. You will work with a friendly team at leading facilities, learning new skills and advancing your technical expertise.

The role offers £60,000 OTE with uncapped earnings and a £2,500 welcome bonus. Benefits include 33 days of annual leave, pension, discounts, healthcare access, and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
• MOT licence is advantageous but not essential.
• Must hold a valid UK driving licence.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality vehicle maintenance and repairs following manufacturer standards.
• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicle components to assess wear or damage.
• Provide expert technical advice to customers with clear communication.
• Maintain exceptional customer service to foster trust and repeat business.
• Collaborate with service reception and workshop control for smooth workflow.
• Mentor fellow technicians and support teamwork.

What youll do day to day

• Perform high-quality vehicle maintenance and repairs, following manufacturer standards and guidelines to ensure reliability and safety
• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicle components to assess wear, damage, or required replacements
• Provide expert technical advice to customers when necessary, ensuring clear and professional communication
• Maintain exceptional customer service standards, fostering trust that leads to repeat business and referrals
• Collaborate effectively with the service reception team and workshop control for seamless workflow and customer satisfaction
• Offer support and guidance to fellow Technicians in the workshop, promoting teamwork and knowledge sharing

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent qualification
• Thorough understanding of vehicle safety standards and guidelines
• Strong problem-solving skills, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of work
• Proven ability to meet efficiency targets while maintaining a keen eye for detail
• Ability to collaborate and contribute positively within a team environment
• A current valid MOT licence is advantageous but not essential
• Must hold a valid UK driving licence
