Job summary

Auto Skills UK is seeking a Vehicle Technician in Houghton-le-Spring to perform servicing, maintenance and repairs to high standards in a busy main dealership workshop.

You will diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, complete repairs to manufacturer standards, and benefit from ongoing manufacturer training and development, with strong earning potential and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (essential).
• At least 2 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic within the automotive industry.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• MOT Tester Licence desirable but not essential.
• Ownership of your own tools and toolbox.
• Positive attitude with the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence (licence checks).
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available).

Salary: Up to £35,500 Basic Salary | OTE £52,000

THE ROLE

As a Vehicle Technician, you'll be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to the highest standards while ensuring every vehicle is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with manufacturer requirements.
