Job summary

HiQ Tyres & Autocare is hiring a Vehicle Technician in Henley-on-Thames. This full-time permanent role runs Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:30pm, with a half-day finish on Saturdays.

You will inspect, service and repair vehicles to high standards, using both dealer-level and generic diagnostic tools. Requirements include a Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or time-served experience and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or time served experience.
• Full driver’s licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experience servicing and repairing to manufacturer standards (brakes, suspension, steering, air conditioning).

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and repair vehicles to DVSA standards.
• Use dealer-level and generic diagnostic equipment to diagnose faults.
• Perform repairs and maintenance to manufacturer schedules.
• Discuss required repairs with customers and estimate time and cost.

Job description

HiQ Tyres & Autocare has an exciting new opportunity for a Vehicle Technician to join our team. The role is offered on a full-time permanent basis, Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm - half a day finish on a Saturday, salary depending on experience.

What you will be doing as a Vehicle Technician:

• Inspection, maintenance, and repair of vehicles to ensure road worthiness and reliability to DVSA standards.
• Use of dealer-level and generic diagnostic equipment to assist in time-efficient repairs.
• Perform repairs and maintenance in line with manufacturer standards and schedules.
• Discussing required repairs with customer
• Calculating the expected time and cost of vehicle work
• Always maintain health and safety standards, working within company guidelines and safe working practices.
• Complete job cards, maintenance records, and associated paperwork to a high standard
• To undertake any additional duties (within reason) for the efficient running of the Store.
• To carry out administration duties as required within the store.
• Assist in carrying out regular stock checks in accordance with Company Policy.

What you will need:

• Must have a Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent OR time served experience
• Must have a full driver’s licence with no more than 9 points
• Experience of delivering interim, full and major services plus relevant repair and replacement work (brakes, suspension and steering component replacement, air con service etc)
