Job summary

Group 1 Automotive in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled automotive technician to perform high-quality maintenance and repairs to manufacture standards. You will inspect components, advise customers, and contribute to a safe, reliable service experience.

The role requires an NVQ Level 3 LVMR or equivalent, plus a valid UK driving licence. A dealership background is encouraged and teamwork is essential for success.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
• Experience as a Level 2 qualified technician within a dealership is encouraged.
• Thorough understanding of vehicle safety standards and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality vehicle maintenance and repairs following manufacturer standards and guidelines.
• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicle components to assess wear or needed replacements.
• Provide expert technical advice to customers with clear, professional communication.
• Maintain exceptional customer service standards to foster trust and repeat business.
• Collaborate with the service reception and workshop control for smooth workflow.
• Support and guide fellow technicians to promote teamwork and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent qualification
• Experience as a Level2 qualified technician with a dealership background is encouraged
• Thorough understanding of vehicle safety standards and guidelines
• Strong problem‑solving skills, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of work
• Proven ability to meet efficiency targets while maintaining a keen eye for detail
• Ability to collaborate and contribute positively within a team environment
• Current valid MOT licence is advantageous but not essential
• Must hold a valid UK driving licence
