Job summary

i2i Recruitment is seeking an automotive technician for a Gloucester workshop. You will service, maintain and repair vehicles to high standards, diagnose faults, and perform road tests as needed, ensuring safe and accurate work throughout.

The role requires strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail and a willingness to develop technical skills in a supportive environment with ongoing training.

Qualifications

  • Must have a full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
  • Level 3 City & Guilds or NVQ in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair required.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to continue developing technical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs to a high standard.
  • Diagnose faults and resolve routine and non-routine vehicle issues.
  • Conduct road tests where required to support diagnosis and repair work.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and accurately.
  • Follow workshop processes and manufacturer standards at all times.
  • Maximise productivity while maintaining excellent quality standards.
  • Participate in regular training and development activities to expand technical knowledge.
