Job summary

Holt Recruitment Group is seeking a Vehicle Technician in Exeter to join a busy Service Department. You will work in a large automotive service network, performing servicing, diagnostics and repairs with support from workshop controllers and fellow technicians.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) and a full driving licence with up to 9 points. 44-hour week and a competitive salary with bonus structure are offered.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) required.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experience with diagnostics and complex repairs (brakes, steering, suspension, electrical).

Vehicle Technician – Exeter - Service Centre

Location: Exeter

Salary: £33000 - £45000 OTE

Basic Salary: £29,886 - £34,187 depending on experience with an OTE of £3600 - £5800 per year as individual bonus scheme.

Hours: 5 Days a week, 44 hours.

Key Vehicle Technician Roles and Responsibilities:

• As a Vehicle Technician/ Mechanic, you will be already skilled in servicing and repair/replacement work. You’ll have the ability to carry out more complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements and diagnostics in areas such as vehicle electrics, brake steering and suspension systems.
• Supported by a workshop controller you’ll work amongst a team of skilled technicians and fitters, along with dedicated customer services advisors to make it a seamless customer experience.

Minimum Vehicle Technician Requirements:

• Qualified to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent)
• Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points
• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements (coolant/diesel injectors, head gasket, brakes, electrical)
