Base pay range

BMW VEHICLE TECHNICIAN. Stephen James BMW offers an exciting opportunity for a Vehicle Technician to join our workshop team. Working on a full range of BMW & MINI vehicles, you'll develop your skills using the latest diagnostic and service technology and receive bespoke training at the BMW UK Training Academy.

Your Role: As a BMW vehicle technician, you will undertake routine service inspections for customer-owned vehicles, used-car stock, and retail vehicles for the Stephen James Group. Responsibilities include repairing and replacing worn or malfunctioning parts, following a systematic process-driven approach.

The main duties include:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles according to BMW / MINI UK standards, promoting superior workmanship
• Meet individual and departmental targets within set timescales
• Advise Line Manager on additional repairs required
• Keep up to date with technical information
• Complete video vehicle health checks to identify issues and sales opportunities
• Explain faults and repairs to customers via videos

Your Profile:

• IMI Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance qualification or equivalent
• Experience working at a main dealer, manufacturer, or independent service/repair retailer (preferably with BMW or MINI expertise)
• Experience handling complex vehicle repairs and maintenance
• Eligibility to work in the UK and a valid, clean UK Driving Licence for at least 1 year

Salary and Hours: Basic salary ranges from £33,000 to £36,000 (dependent on experience), with OTE £50,000 to £60,000+ per year. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with Saturday shifts (8 am to 12:30 pm) on a rotational basis, paid as overtime.
