Job summary

Expleo is seeking Skilled/Semi Skilled Vehicle Technicians in Cranfield, UK to support vehicle R&D activities such as Electrical Testing, Dyno & Emission Testing, and general test preparation and safety checks.

You will prepare vehicles or parts for tests, evaluate performance, and assemble/dis-assemble components for static and dynamic tests. You will maintain vehicles, liaise with engineers, set up instrumentation, and write reports. You may learn bespoke client systems.

Qualifications

• IMI Level 2/3 certification as vehicle technician.
• Experience in vehicle testing or prototype environments desirable.
• Willingness to learn bespoke client systems to fulfil role.

Job description

Overview

We are currently looking for Skilled/Semi Skilled Vehicle Technicians to assist in the following areas of vehicle research and development

• Electrical Testing (including Connected Car)
• Dyno & Emission Testing
• General vehicle-based servicing, test preparation and safety checks (Control Room activities)

Responsibilities

• Preparation of vehicles or parts for special uses including Test use.
• Evaluation of vehicle performance according to set criteria.
• Assemble / dis-assemble parts, components, or vehicles for static & dynamic test activities.
• Maintenance of Vehicles to include safety check, retrofit, fault finding and repair.
• Liaise with engineers to conduct tests to client standards & local operating procedures.

• Write reports.

Qualifications

• Vehicle Technician, IMI Level 3 for skilled roles
• Vehicle Technician, IMI Level 2 for semi skilled roles

Desired skills

• Previous experience of working in a vehicle build/prototype environment would be desirable.
