Job summary

Octane Recruitment is seeking a Vehicle Technician in Hatfield to join a supportive team with excellent earning potential. You will service, maintain, and repair vehicles to high standards while diagnosing faults and advising customers.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Strong eye for detail with the ability to meet efficiency targets.
• Team-focused, with great communication skills.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• MOT licence is an advantage, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs to the highest standards.
• Diagnose faults and inspect key components with accuracy.
• Deliver clear and professional technical advice to customers when required.
• Provide outstanding service, building trust and repeat business.
• Work closely with the reception and workshop teams for smooth daily operations.
• Support and mentor otherVehicle Technicians, sharing knowledge and expertise.

Location: Hatfield

Salary: Up to £45,000 plus bonus, OTE up to £60,000 (uncapped earnings)

Hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 5:30pm Saturdays on Rota 1 hour lunch
