Vehicle Technician required in Chichester, West Sussex!

• Basic Salary Up to £35,000 dependent on experience + Yearly bonus
• Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:30
• NO WEEKENDS

Our client, a friendly independent garage based in Chichester since the early 1980s, is currently seeking a Vehicle Technician to join their team.

Their specialization includes problem solving and diagnostics for both the general public and automotive trade. The ideal candidate is a logical thinker who enjoys solving tricky issues.

The workshop is fully equipped with the latest diagnostic tools, a dedicated MOT bay, air-conditioned office and break room, and a fully equipped kitchen. You will be assigned your own ramp and work alongside a skilled team of six vehicle technicians.

Duties of a Vehicle Technician:

• Carrying out vehicle services and repairs according to company standards
• Liaising directly with customers as appropriate
• Undertaking diagnostics on all makes and models
• Servicing, oil changes, maintenance, tyre fitting
• Workshop duties and supporting less experienced colleagues
• Attending training to update technical skills
• Maintaining a safe and clean working environment
• Undertaking MOT testing if qualified

What our client expects:

• Relevant City & Guilds, IMI, BTEC, NVQ, or equivalent qualifications
• Ideally an MOT testing license (desirable but not essential)
• Previous experience in a garage workshop
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Commitment to customer service
• Good planning and organizational skills
