Job description

Vehicle Technician required in Cheltenham region

Our client, a franchise-approved car dealership in the Cheltenham area, is currently looking to hire a fully qualified Vehicle Technician for their busy Service Department.

Job Details

1. Salary: Negotiable starting salary depending on experience, with up to £40-50,000+ annual on-target earnings plus benefits.
2. Working hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm and 1 in 3 Saturdays 8:30am-1:00pm.
3. Training: Full in-house and manufacturer-approved training provided with a clear development programme for staff.

Main Responsibilities

Reporting to the Service Manager, your duties will include fault diagnosis, servicing, and repairs according to manufacturer standards. You will ensure faults are accurately diagnosed, report on vehicle condition, safety, reliability, and performance, and adhere to quality procedures laid down by the client and manufacturer.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Vehicle Technician to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Cheltenham.
• Hold a UK driving licence with minimal points.
• Motivated, team-oriented, and able to produce high-quality work in a busy environment.
• Active MOT licence is advantageous but not essential (training provided).
