Job summary

Northgate Vehicle Hire in Basildon is seeking a Vehicle Technician to maintain and repair our fleet, ensuring safety and legal compliance for hire.

We welcome Level 2 Technicians with at least 3 years’ experience or fully qualified Level 3 Technicians / Mechanics. Our IMI accredited training program upskills you in hybrid and EV systems, braking, electrics, and more.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Technician with at least 3 years employment as a technician or mechanic.
• Fully qualified Level 3 Technician / Mechanic.
• IMI accredited training available for upskilling in Hybrid & EV systems, braking, electrics.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of vehicles to ensure safety and legal compliance for hire.
• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostic checks as part of fleet maintenance.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure high standards of workmanship and customer service.

About you

As a Vehicle Technician you are responsible for the maintenance and repair of our vehicles to ensure they are safe and legally compliant for our customers to hire. If you are Level 2 Qualified Technician with at least 3 years employment as a technician/mechanic or fully qualified Level 3 Technician / Mechanic, we would love to hear from you.

About our training

We have our own internal IMI accredited training department, where we can upskill you on such things as Hybrid & EV vehicle repair, Tail lift, braking systems, electrics etc. For those trained to Level 2, you can take a training needs analysis so we can build a personalised training program for you to increase your skillset.
