Qualifications

Swansway Motor Group is looking for a skilled Vehicle Tech/MOT Tester with a passion for precision and customer care. Based at one of our well-regarded dealerships, you will join a team dedicated to excellence and innovation. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of safety and reliability, ensuring that all vehicles are road-ready and living up to their full potential.

In your role as a Vehicle Tech/MOT Tester at Swansway Motor Group, you will:

• Conduct ongoing service repair and pre-delivery inspection checks of vehicles in line with manufacturer guidelines.
• Collaborate with the Workshop Controller and Service Advisor team to communicate additional work or escalation needs.
• Use our 'see it now' service to record and convey necessary work on customer vehicles.
• Perform diagnostic checks and road tests to verify vehicle quality and safety post-service.
• Complete precise and thorough service documentation including job sheets, PDIs, and DISS reports.
• Conducting routine service works and pre-delivery inspections in line with manufacturer guidelines.
• Communicating effectively with the front of house Service Advisor team to notify customers of any additional necessary repairs.
• Utilising diagnostic equipment to check service quality and perform road tests.
• Accurately completing all relevant service documentation and job cards, adhering to dealership and warranty requirements.

Our ideal Vehicle/MOT Tester is a driven team player with a keen attention to detail. You will possess:

• A L3 qualification in vehicle service and repair, desirably accompanied by a valid MOT licence.
• At least three years of experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic.
• A remarkable ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
• A genuine 'can-do' attitude and the motivation to excel.
• A valid driving licence, enabling you to carry out vehicle road tests safely.
