Job summary

Igloo Ltd in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking an experienced Vehicle Strip Fitter to join our busy automotive bodyshop. You will remove body panels, trim and mechanical/electrical components, strip damaged vehicles and refit parts to manufacturer standards throughout the repair process.

You will collaborate with panel beaters, painters and other departments to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and to a high quality.

Qualifications

• Experience as Vehicle Strip Fitter or MET Technician or similar automotive role.
• Good understanding of vehicle body, trim, mechanical and electrical components.
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
• Must have own tools.
• Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points for minor offences.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

We are seeking experienced Vehicle Strip Fitters to join a busy automotive bodyshop operation in Newcastle. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring vehicles are stripped, repaired, and refitted to the highest standards before progressing through the repair process.

The successful candidate will work closely with the wider bodyshop team to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and to the required quality standards.
