Job summary

Volkswagen Group is offering a three-year apprenticeship programme for Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technicians (Light Vehicle). The programme combines virtual classroom remote learning with face-to-face sessions at the National Learning Centre in Milton Keynes, with travel, accommodation and meals fully covered for training.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic and hardworking with a desire for a long-term career in vehicle service.
• Willingness to travel to Milton Keynes for training.
• Interest in motor vehicles and hands-on learning through apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults.
• Test parts and systems to ensure correct operation.
• Follow checklists to inspect all critical parts of vehicles.
• Carry out bumper-to-bumper service and inspection.
• Maintain electronic systems including on-board entertainment systems.
• Repair and maintenance of vehicle parts (clutches, gearboxes, tyres, brakes, suspension).
• Complete legible paperwork for customers and centres records.
• Keep a clean and tidy work environment.
