Job summary

Resource Management Solutions in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled Vehicle Polisher for a permanent role at our Killingholme workshop. You will polish and finish vehicles to the highest standard under the supervision of the Workshop Shift Manager, ensuring readiness for dispatch.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years’ experience in SMART Vehicle Polishing, a valid UK driving licence with fewer than 6 penalty points, and the ability to pass a polishing skills test.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and carry out polish techniques as required.
• Ensure vehicles are finished using SMART techniques and meet quality standards.
• Inspect finished vehicles for any damage and ensure cleanliness of workshop.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and keep the area tidy.
• Follow health & safety regulations at all times and stay up to date with repair techniques.

Due to rapid growth we are looking for skilled staff members to join our workshop team! If you have an eye for detail and a passion for perfection, to become part of a team that takes pride in excellence!

• Location: Killingholme
• Position: Vehicle Polisher
• Type: Permanent
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Working hours between 7.30am-4.30pm
• Salary: £17.28p/h, weekly pay.

About the role?

Working under the supervision and co-ordination of the Workshop Shift Manager, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently carrying out any necessary polish and vehicle finishing techniques to ensure vehicles are in pristine condition prior to dispatch.

Key responsibilities of the Role:

• To prepare and carryout any necessary polish techniques.
• To ensure that all vehicles are completing using appropriate SMART Techniques
• To ensure all materials are used within the manufacture’s instruction and minimal usage for effective repair.
• To remove and replace / fit protector moulding, transfer and decals if required.
• To apply finishing materials, water and solvency-based materials.
• To carry out buffering and burnishing on parts and panels.
• To inspect finished vehicles to ensure there is no damage.
• To Keep the workshop area clean and organised.
• To ensure tools and equipment are maintained and in good working order.
• To adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• To keep up to date with the latest repair techniques and technologies.
• To undertake any other duties as directed commensurate with the level of the job function

About you?

• To be successful, you must be over 22 years old, possess a valid driver’s license with fewer than 6 penalty points, and have no DR10 offenses for insurance purposes.
• To succeed in this role, candidates must be able to work the specified shift times above.
• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in SMART Vehicle Polishing.
• The ideal candidate will be required to pass a skills test where they will be tested on Smart Polishing techniques.
• The ideal candidate will have basic understanding of health and safety and cooperate with managers to comply with Health & Safety regulations.
