Fortescue Zero, part of Jaguar TCS Racing, offers a 12-month industrial placement in the Vehicle Performance group in the UK. You will work with engineers and graduates to learn, develop, and demonstrate real-time software tools for race strategy and energy management.

Eligibility requires a STEM degree in progress and basic programming experience in Python, MATLAB, JavaScript, C# or VBA; data analysis and data visualization experience is advantageous and encouraged.

Formación

• Working towards a STEM degree in CS, SE, ME, Motorsport Eng, Data Science, Math or Physics
• Basic experience with Python, MATLAB, JavaScript, C# and/or VBA
• Experience with data analysis or data visualization is advantageous

Responsabilidades

• Develop in-house software tools to optimise race strategy and energy management in real-time
• Analyse car, simulation and timing data to inform strategic decisions
• Contribute to pre- and post-event analysis of race strategy and performance
• Ensure software is robust for production use with high attention to detail
• Use source control and collaboration tools to maintain code with modern best practices
• Maintain and improve data pipelines to automate processes and analyses
• Participate in the Ops Room during race weekends; may require unsociable hours
