Job summary

BCA, the UK's largest vehicle remarketing company, is hiring a Bodyshop Technician / Paint Sprayer at one of its sites. You will work within an experienced Bodyshop team, finishing vehicles to high standards for customers.

Key duties include paint preparation, spray painting with water-based paints, matching colours, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace while supporting junior colleagues as needed.

Qualifications

• Own air fed mask and paint guns (essential).
• Previous experience as Bodyshop Technician / Paint Sprayer (essential).
• Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
• Willing to support junior techs and share expertise when needed.
• Able to work independently with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Paint preparation of the vehicle – masking and prepping as required.
• Spray painting using water-based paints on required vehicles.
• Check paint colour and prepare spray-out cards to ensure a match.
• Clean up the work area and ensure equipment is functioning.
• Support Bodyshop team within other departments when needed.

Main purpose of the role

Within this role, you will be working as a part of an experienced Bodyshop team, ensuring our vehicles are finished to the highest standard for our customers, under the support and guidance of the supervisor and Bodyshop Manager.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Paint preparation of the vehicle – masking and prepping if required
• Spray painting required vehicles using water based paints
• Checking paint colour and preparing spray out cards to ensure a perfect match
• Cleaning up work area and making sure that equipment is working correctly
• Supporting Bodyshop team within other departments if required

To be successful, you’ll bring some of the following experience with you:

• Candidates must have their own air fed mask and paint guns (essential)
• Previous experience in a similar role as a Bodyshop Technician / Paint Sprayer (essential)
• Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
• Willing to support junior techs and offer support/expertise when needed.
• You will be passionate to work within the motor industry and take pride in their work, to the highest standards of work set by customers
• You will need to work independently on vehicles and have experience to make decisions when required
• Excellent attention to detail
