As a Vehicle Paint Technician working at our Accident Repair Centre in York, you will accurately and skillfully undertake the paint refinish and repair of a wide range of motor vehicles, ensuring the highest levels of customer service and satisfaction.

  • £40,360 OTE dependent on qualifications and experience.
  • £2,500 sign-on bonus, paid in the second month’s salary.
  • 34 days annual leave (including bank holidays), increasing to 36 days at 5 years’ service and 38 days at 10 years’ service.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking repair activities on customer vehicles to the highest standard within scheduled times, ensuring customer satisfaction and minimizing returns to the workshop.
  • Accurately and skillfully undertaking the paint refinish and repair of motor vehicles.
  • Identifying and mixing paint colours using approved mixing systems, minimizing wastage.
  • Carrying out repairs according to best practice procedures, using factory times.
  • Using all paint mixing schemes and drying equipment accurately for all paint repairs.
  • Striving to achieve and exceed departmental objectives.
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and in compliance with company, brand, and industry guidelines.
  • Keeping up-to-date with skills and best practices in the industry.
  • Safeguarding customers’ vehicles and contents while in the workshop.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in painting vehicles to a high standard.
  • A customer-centric approach, always aiming to exceed customer expectations.
  • A City & Guilds qualification or equivalent, such as a recognised apprenticeship or manufacturer-approved training scheme.
  • Excellent attention to detail with an organized and methodical approach to problem-solving.
