Job summary

Activate Group is seeking a Vehicle Paint Sprayer to join the Activate Accident Repair team in Sunderland. You will paint and prep motor vehicles to high standards, supporting repairs and delivering quality finishes.

The role is permanent, full-time, within a fast-growing UK business, offering development opportunities and a clear career path across our network.

Qualifications

  • ATA / NVQ level 3 qualification required.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good H&S knowledge and awareness.
  • Good time management and organisation.
  • Relevant industry experience as a repair technician.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure customer satisfaction in the repair and painting of motor vehicles.
  • Carry out work in a safe and economical manner.
  • Observe, recognise and report on vehicle structure and paintwork.
  • Interpret and implement technical instruction data.
  • Accurately use paint mixing schemes and drying areas/equipment.
  • Ensure vehicles comply with safety standards when returned to customers.
  • Attain manufacturers' and/or estimated repair/paint times.
  • Report all faults noticed whilst working on vehicles.

About the role

Painting and prepping of Motor vehicles.

Key responsibilities
  • • Ensure customer satisfaction in the repair and painting of motor vehicles of all types.
  • • Carry out such work in a safe and economical manner.
  • • Observe, recognise and report on vehicle structure and paintwork.
  • • Interpret and implement technical instruction data.
  • • Accurately use paint mixing schemes and drying areas/equipment.
  • • Ensure that vehicles comply with safety standards when returned to customers, or that faults have been reported and noted on job card.
  • • Attain manufacturers' and/or estimated repair/paint times.
  • • Report all faults, defects noticed whilst working on vehicles.
