ABL 1 Touch Group Limited is seeking a Vehicle Paint Technician to repair motor vehicles in a bodyshop, adhering to manufacturer standards and repair methods. The role requires experience in bodyshop operations and knowledge of recent waterborne technologies. A full UK driving licence and a proactive, team-oriented approach are essential.

Formación

• Must have previous Bodyshop repairs experience.
• Experience with motor manufacturer repair standards.
• NVQ Level 3 in Paint & Bodywork is required.
• Knowledge of waterborne paint technology preferred.
• Understanding of composite and aluminium repair methods.
• Experience with bonding, sealer and filler repairs.
• Valid UK driving licence is essential.
• Good team player with initiative.
• Flexible with a positive attitude.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect, assess and report vehicle structure and paintwork conditions.
• Ensure safety compliance when vehicles are returned to customers.
• Record faults and defects on the job card.
• Order replacement parts and document usage.
• Perform paint repairs and apply topcoat to manufacturer specs using standard equipment.
• Prepare and maintain paint mixing schemes, spray booths and drying lamps.

As aVehicle Paint Technician, you will ensure the repair of motor vehicles of all types is carried out to motor manufacturer industry standards or repair methods.

Responsibilities of a Vehicle Paint Technician will include:

• Observe, recognise, and report on vehicle structure and paintwork.

• Ensure that vehicles comply with safety standards when returned to customers, or that faults have been reported and noted on the job card.

• Report all faults and defects noticed whilst working on vehicles.

• Indent for replacement parts and record usage.

• Vehicle Paint Technician responsibilities also include paint repair, accurately using paint mixing schemes, computerized scales, spray booths, and drying lamps.

• Application of topcoat to the manufacturer’s specification.

Skills and experience required as a Vehicle Paint Technician:

• Previous experience in Bodyshop repairs

• Motor manufacturer qualifications and experience

• NVQ Level 3 in Paint & Bodywork

• Knowledge of the latest Waterborne Technology

• Aware of composite and aluminium repair

• Bonding, sealer, and filler repair skills

• Full UK Driving licence

• Team player who uses initiative

• Flexibility and a can-do attitude

• Cultural and organisational insight and takes responsibility for own actions
