Job summary

ABL 1 Touch Group Limited is seeking a Vehicle Paint Technician to handle vehicle spray painting within a Bodyshop environment. Monday to Friday, 09:30AM–7:00PM, the role focuses on repairing vehicles to manufacturer standards and using waterborne technology.

The ideal candidate will have NVQ Level 3 in Paint & Bodywork, full UK driving licence, and experience in bodyshop repairs. A competitive package includes up to £50K, bonus, pension, and health benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Bodyshop repairs.
• Motor manufacturer qualifications and experience.
• NVQ Level 3 in Paint & Bodywork.
• Knowledge of the latest Waterborne Technology.
• Aware of composite and aluminium repair.
• Bonding, sealer, and filler repair skills.
• Full UK Driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Observe, recognise, and report on vehicle structure and paintwork.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards on return to customers.
• Report faults and defects noticed whilst working on vehicles.
• Indent for replacement parts and record usage.
• Paint repair and application of topcoat to manufacturer specs.

As aVehicle Paint Technician, you will ensure the repair of motor vehicles of all types is carried out to motor manufacturer industry standards or repair methods.

Responsibilities of a Vehicle Paint Technician will include:

• Observe, recognise, and report on vehicle structure and paintwork.

• Ensure that vehicles comply with safety standards when returned to customers, or that faults have been reported and noted on the job card.

• Report all faults and defects noticed whilst working on vehicles.

• Indent for replacement parts and record usage.

• Vehicle Paint Technicianresponsibilities also include paint repair, accurately using paint mixing schemes, computerized scales, spray booths, and drying lamps.

• Application of topcoat to the manufacturer’s specification.

Skills and experience required as a Vehicle Paint Technician:

• Previous experience in Bodyshop repairs

• Motor manufacturer qualifications and experience

• NVQ Level 3 in Paint & Bodywork

• Knowledge of the latest Waterborne Technology

• Aware of composite and aluminium repair
