Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Vehicle Mechanic/Technician Trainer for a major UK defence contractor in Lyneham. You will deliver hands-on training to military students and progress into an instructor role, with funded qualifications and a structured progression path.

The role is Mon-Fri, 37 hours per week, with salary £38,000 rising to £41,000 on qualification, plus a 6% pension, 25 days holiday and company benefits. Commutable from Swindon, Chippenham and nearby Wiltshire towns.

Are you a Level 3 Vehicle Mechanic, Technician or similar looking to progress off the tools into an Instructor or Trainer role, with one of the UK's biggest defence contractors, who are responsible for training the next wave of military mechanics?

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering hands‑on training to military students, deliver pre-set lesson plans, training and assessments, monitor trainee development and collaborate with colleagues to improve internal processes. This is a Monday to Friday role, 37 hour week - no overtime required.

This role would suit a Vehicle Mechanic or Technician, from any background looking for an off the tools role, full training to become an instructor and the opportunity to work for one of the biggest defence companies in the UK.
