Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is recruiting for a Vehicle Mechanic (Class 4 & 7) in Derby, Derbyshire. You will carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on vehicles within a fast-growing dealership and resellers network.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years’ experience, strong diagnostic skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. MOT certification is advantageous, with opportunities for overtime and progression within the company.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Vehicle Mechanic (Class 4/7 vehicles).
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• MOT Certified would be advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds desirable, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on Class 4 & 7 vehicles
• Diagnosing faults and completing mechanical repairs efficiently
• Performing clutch replacements, gearbox work, wheel alignment, and engine diagnostics
• Working collaboratively with the wider team to meet deadlines and maintain high service standards
• Communicating effectively regarding repair times and customer quotations
• Attending training courses to enhance technical skills

Salary: £35,000 – £50,000 per annum + Overtime
Hours: Monday to Friday (Flexible start/finish times)

• 08:00 – 17:00
• 08:30 – 17:30
• 09:00 – 18:00
