Job summary

A specialist engineering support provider in Bridgwater is seeking a Vehicle Technician for a permanent position. The role involves diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults on a large fleet. Candidates must have a Level 3 Motor Vehicle Mechanics qualification and at least 6 years of HGV experience. Possession of own tools is essential. The working hours are Monday to Friday, with a competitive salary up to £46k.

Qualifications

• 6+ years as a HGV Mechanic.
• Previous experience as a qualified Fitter/Mechanic/Engineer required.

Overview

Vehicle Technician

Location & Schedule

Bridgewater • Monday to Friday • Permanent • Up to £46k

Role

This role is based on a 40 hour week with shifts Monday to Friday days for a large fleet organisation.

Responsibilities

• Electrical, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis, repair and installation
• Setting and operating of machine tools and equipment
• Support workshops team members including Apprentice Technicians as required
• Accurately record time to complete jobs and associated details
• Use of skills and performance of other work within normal grade/job skills as required by the Workshop Supervisor to maximise workshop efficiency

Qualifications & Experience

• Level 3 Motor Vehicle Mechanics City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent
• 6 Years + as a HGV Mechanic
• Previous experience as a qualified Fitter/Mechanic/Engineer
• Possession of own tools
