Group Lotus is seeking General Operators to join the Manufacturing – Trim team. You will support preparation, trimming, finishing and assembly of vehicle interior components in a hands-on role, ensuring high-quality work to Lotus standards.

Ideal candidates have prior manufacturing experience, familiarity with leather or fabric, and basic trimming or sewing skills. The role is site-based in a factory environment with focus on safety and production targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Experience working with leather, fabric or other covering materials.
• Basic trimming, sewing, upholstery or similar practical skills.
• Good hand-to-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Basic mechanical skills and confidence using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and standard work processes.
• Ability to work to defined production times and quality standards.
• Reliable, flexible and self-motivated approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsabilités

• Prepare, measure, mark and cut trim materials using patterns and templates.
• Operate industrial sewing machines to join trim materials.
• Support embroidery processes for logos and decorative features.
• Remove and replace existing trim materials for retrimming.
• Apply adhesives to materials and components.
• Position, stretch and bond materials onto components.
• Trim and finish materials with correct seams and joins.
• Assemble and fit completed trim components.
• Inspect finished work for defects and quality issues.
• Carry out rework and repairs as needed.
• Follow documented manufacturing processes and meet production times.
• Handle materials and tools with care.
• Report quality or production concerns to Team Leader.
• Follow all health and safety requirements.
