Vehicle Inspector

Location: Colchester

Hours of Work:Full Time - 40 hours per week

About Us

At Manheim Auctions, our Operations Team plays a vital role in delivering smooth, efficient auctions every day. Whether working in the Yard, Inspections, VCP, or Imaging, our team members keep everything running to the highest operational and customer service standards.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Vehicle Inspector, you'll help ensure our vehicles are ready for sale by:

• Inspecting cars and commercial vehicles accurately to Manheim Standard Operating Procedures and British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (BVRLA) fair wear and tear standards.
• Completing Assured and Scheme Inspections to defined quality procedures.
• Photographing vehicles to our high imaging standards.
• Managing key storage and ensuring traceability.
• Assisting the Yard team with vehicle movement and lot management.
• Updating vehicle information in our systems efficiently.
• Providing professional advice to customers about inspections when required.

You will also:

• Prioritise tasks to meet productivity, quality, and SLA targets.
• Support specific processes such as voluntary termination inspections.

What We’re Looking For

• Knowledge of BVRLA standards (preferred).
• Basic mechanical understanding (an advantage).
• Good knowledge of vehicle makes and models.
• Customer-focused attitude and ability to work under pressure.
• Team player who can also manage deadlines independently.
