Job description

As a Copart Vehicle Image Damage Assessor, you will be responsible for preparing reports for insurance companies. Your duties include reviewing documents related to vehicle damage, information, and images, and making necessary amendments. You will conduct market research to determine vehicle values, considering factors like mileage, previous damage, HPI data, and assign salvage categories following ABI Code of Practice and company guidelines. Adherence to Service Level Agreements is essential, with training provided for internal report-writing systems. This is a remote role, with occasional attendance at our Head Office or Operation Centre.

Requirements:

• Membership or willingness to enroll in MIMI, IAEA, or IRTE, with familiarity with insurance claims procedures.
• Ability to interpret vehicle damage and use repair estimating systems.
• Experience with motor vehicles, damage assessment, and repair methods.
• Knowledge of VDA, estimating and valuation tools like Glass, CAP, Audatex, HPI.
• Understanding of legal vehicle requirements under the Road Traffic Act.
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
