Job description

As a Copart Vehicle Image Damage Assessor, you will be responsible for preparing reports on behalf of insurance companies. Your duties include reviewing documents related to vehicle damage, information, and images, and making necessary amendments. You will conduct market research to determine vehicle value, considering factors such as mileage, previous damage, HPI data, and more. Additionally, you will assign salvage categories following ABI Code of Practice and company guidelines.

This position is remote, allowing you to work from home, with potential requirements to attend our Head Office or Operation Centre.

What we need from you:

• Membership or willingness to enroll in professional bodies like MIMI, IAEA, or IRTE, with familiarity in insurance claims procedures.
• Ability to interpret vehicle damage and use repair estimating systems.
• Experience with motor vehicles, damage assessment, and repair methods.
• Knowledge of VDA and estimation tools such as Glass’, CAP, Audatex, and HPI.
• Understanding of legal vehicle roadworthiness requirements under the Road Traffic Act.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
