Job description

As a Copart Vehicle Image Damage Assessor, you will be responsible for preparing reports on behalf of insurance companies.

Your duties include reviewing documents related to vehicle damage, information, and images, and making necessary amendments.

You will conduct market research to determine vehicle values considering factors like mileage, previous damage, HPI data, and more. You will assign salvage categories following the ABI Code of Practice and company guidelines.

You must adhere to our Service Level Agreements and follow established processes. Training on our internal report-writing systems will be provided.

This is a remote role, working from home, with occasional attendance at our Head Office or Operation Centre.

What we need from you:

• Membership or willingness to enroll in professional bodies such as MIMI, IAEA, or IRTE, with familiarity in insurance claims procedures.
• Ability to interpret vehicle damage and use repair estimating systems.
• Experience with motor vehicles, damage types, and repair methods.
• Knowledge of VDA and estimation tools like Glass’, CAP, Audatex, and HPI.
• Understanding of legal vehicle requirements under the Road Traffic Act.
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
