Catering in Blackburn is seeking a Vehicle Finisher/Fitter/Assembler/Body Engineer to join our team. You will handle fitting tasks using various hand and power tools and work toward high-quality vehicle bodies. An eye for detail and teamwork are essential for success.

Desirable knowledge includes electrical systems and basic welding; prior experience in commercial vehicle construction is a plus. The role is full-time, on-site in Blackburn with standard hours.

Job description

As a Vehicle Finisher/Fitter/ Assembler/ Body Engineer

* Diverse Skill Set: Demonstrating proficiency in a range of essential techniques including drilling, cutting, and utilizing various hand and power tools such as spanners, drills, riveters, jigsaws, circular saws, and grinders.

* Electrical Aptitude (Desirable): While not essential, a basic understanding of electrical systems can be advantageous for certain projects.

Essential Requirements:

* Fitting skills.

* A keen eye for detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.

* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Skills:

* Previous experience in commercial vehicle construction.

* Knowledge of electrical systems.an advantage

* Mig Welding an advantage

* Hydraulic / hose knowledge an advantage

May also look at Semi-skilled/Improver who has some experience with Truck Bodies

Pay: £13.50 – £15.00 per hour depending on experience

Expected hours: 39 per week

Hours of work

Mon-Thurs 8am-4.30pm / Fri 8am-3pm
