Job summary

Go-Ahead London is recruiting a Senior Vehicle Engineer for night shifts at our Putney garage. The role focuses on reliable maintenance to ensure a dependable service for London journeys.

The ideal candidate will have PCV/HGV experience, hold a PCV licence, and be available for 7 on 3 off / 7 on 4 off night rotations. We offer pension, holidays, and travel benefits.

Qualifications

• Qualifications – Ideally City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent.
• Experience – Working on HGV or PCV vehicles is essential.
• Licence – PCV licence required; training available if not held.
• Availability – Must be able to work shifts, including mornings, late shifts and weekends.

Role: Vehicle Engineer - Nights

Location: Putney, SW15 1RH

Contract:Full Time / Permanent

Working Hours: Nights - 38hrs per week (7 on 3 off, 7 on 4 off)

Salary: £52,334.36 (Paid weekly at £1006.43)

We are looking for people who will strive to provide reliable and effective maintenance so we can ensure that we are able to deliver a reliable service that people can trust, and which helps to create a London where every journey is taken care of.

• Technical & Engineering Solutions –Diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical and electrical issues.
• Health, Safety & Compliance –Ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations and engineering standards.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a ‘can do’ individual who is open and approachable, is happy and comfortable working with a team but is able to be forward looking and both flexible and adaptable to the changing business demands.

• Qualifications –Ideally qualified to City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent.
• Experience –Working on HGV or PCV vehicles is essential.
• Licence –Applicants are required to hold a PCV licence. If you do not currently hold a PCV licence, training will be provided.
• Availability –Ability to work shifts, including early mornings, late shifts, and weekends.
