Job summary

Ricardo in Leamington Spa is seeking a Vehicle Dynamics Analyst contractor to support the design of transmission and chassis systems using FE tools. You will build high-fidelity FE models and perform linear and nonlinear static and dynamic analyses with Abaqus, Optistruct, HyperWorks, interfacing with clients and delivering results.

Applicants should have substantial FE experience, strong CAD familiarity (Catia/Creo/NX/SolidWorks) and a mechanical engineering degree.

Qualifications

Substantial FE analysis experience.
Abaqus and Optistruct experience for implicit FE analysis.
HyperWorks or Ansa pre/post processing experience.
CAD package experience: Catia/Creo/NX/SolidWorks etc.
Experience performing nonlinear static FE and fatigue analysis.
Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Advanced static/dynamic FE analysis experience.
Experience with numerical methods incl. multi-body dynamics.

Responsibilities

Apply theoretical knowledge and engineering techniques to solve basic analytical problems.
Build high-fidelity FE models for transmission, suspension, and chassis systems using CAE tools from CAD and other data.
Conduct linear and nonlinear, static and dynamic FE analysis.
Prepare detailed technical presentations for internal and client reviews.
Interface with clients to deliver updates, design recommendations and analysis results.
Assist with technique and analysis methodology development.
Perform other duties as assigned.
