Job summary

Straight Forward Recruitment are looking for an experienced Vehicle Diagnostic Technician / Mechanic to join a reputable family-run independent body shop in Attleborough.

You will diagnose faults on cars and vans, carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to a high standard, with 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday and 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience working on cars and vans.
• MOT Tester qualification would be advantageous but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle diagnostics and fault finding.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Carry out servicing and routine maintenance.
• Complete mechanical repairs to a high standard.
• Inspect vehicles and identify faults or potential issues.
• Maintain accurate records of work carried out.
• Ensure vehicles are safe and roadworthy.
• Keep the workshop clean, tidy and safe.
