Job summary

Straight Forward Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Vehicle Diagnostic Technician / Mechanic for a friendly, family-run independent body shop in Attleborough. The role offers a permanent, full-time contract with a competitive hourly rate and a stable career path.

You will diagnose, service and repair a range of cars and vans, maintaining high workmanship standards, with Monday–Friday hours, no weekend work, and ongoing training opportunities to support career progression.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
Experience working on cars and vans.
Good knowledge of modern vehicle systems and diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

Carrying out vehicle diagnostics and fault finding.
Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults using industry-standard diagnostic equipment.
Completing mechanical repairs and maintenance efficiently and accurately.
Carrying out servicing and routine vehicle maintenance.
Inspecting vehicles and identifying faults or potential issues.
Working on a range of cars and vans.
Ensuring all repairs and maintenance are completed to a high standard.
Maintaining accurate records of work carried out.
