Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited in Grimsby, Lincolnshire, is seeking a capable Vehicle Technician / Diagnostic Technician to join a modern workshop. You will service, maintain and repair vehicles to manufacturer standards, and perform advanced diagnostics with specialist equipment.

The role requires a Level 3 qualification in light vehicle maintenance and repair, relevant experience, and a clean UK driving licence. Benefits include training, career progression, pension, and insurance support.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Service Technician, Automotive Technician or Diagnostic Technician.
• Recognised diagnostic qualification required for the Diagnostic Technician position.
• Manufacturer-accredited Technicians will also be considered.
• Strong mechanical, electrical and fault-finding skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Complete advanced fault diagnosis using specialist diagnostic equipment and software.
• Carry out warranty repairs in line with approved procedures.
• Complete electric and hybrid vehicle repairs where qualified.
• Support Apprentice Technicians with technical guidance and development.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety and workshop documentation.
