Job summary

Mane Energy in Basildon, Essex is seeking experienced Workshop / Vehicle Development Technicians to support tractor development and testing for an agricultural vehicle manufacturer. You will prepare, modify and maintain development tractors and work on driveline components.

The role involves diagnosing faults, completing technical reports, and collaborating with test engineers while following health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical fitting or vehicle technician experience.
• Experience with driveline, transmission or powertrain systems.
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read technical documentation and complete reports.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Good level of spoken and written English.

Workshop / Vehicle Development Technicians - Basildon, Essex

We are currently recruiting experienced Workshop / Vehicle Development Technicians to support tractor development and testing for a leading agricultural vehicle manufacturer based in Basildon.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, modify and maintain development tractors
• Remove, install and modify driveline and powertrain components
• Support vehicle testing and engineering activities
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults
• Complete technical reports and document test results
• Work closely with test engineers while following health & safety procedures

Requirements:

• Strong mechanical fitting or vehicle technician experience
• Experience with driveline, transmission or powertrain systems
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Ability to read technical documentation and complete reportsFull UK driving licence
• Right to work in the UK
• Good level of spoken and written English

Desirable:

• Agricultural, commercial vehicle, HGV, construction equipment or off-highway machinery experience
• Prototype/development workshop experience
• CANalyzer/CANcase or vehicle instrumentation experience

Hours:

• Monday-Thursday: 07:00-16:00
• Friday: 07:00-12:00
• Overtime and Saturday work available depending on workload.
