Job summary

National Vehicle Distribution is a UK-based logistics provider specialising in the distribution, storage and preparation of finished vehicles. The role involves driving efficiency across port and compound operations, supervising staff, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

You will implement improvements, manage paperwork accuracy, and maintain ISO processes while ensuring timely delivery and compliance with drivers and transporters.

Qualifications

• Experience in coordinating operations within a port or compound environment.
• Ability to drive efficiency and implement improvements across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Drive efficiency from all compound operations.
• Implement new efficiency improvements as required.
• Ensure KPI targets are met.
• Ensure damage paperwork is completed accurately per customer requirements.
• Maintain high handling, quality and inspection standards for all units.
• Ensure work is safe, efficient and of the required standard.
• Maintain ISO processes and recommend improvements.
• Ensure drivers and transporters comply with standards.
• Lead by example and communicate effectively with staff.
• Supervise port/compound staff to meet objectives.
• Address performance issues promptly and report recurring ones to Site Manager.
• Be available to cover shift requirements as needed.
