Job summary

Zensec is seeking an Information Security Consultant to lead as the vCISO on a portfolio of client engagements across the Channel Islands and beyond. You will guide compliance activities, run assurance cycles, and present to boards, while building lasting relationships with senior stakeholders.

You will shape service delivery, mentor junior consultants, and contribute to scoping and proposals, combining hands-on technical assurance with strategic advisory work.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in information or cyber security, with 2+ years in consultancy or vCISO roles.
• Experience delivering against Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001, NIST CSF or equivalent.
• Proven ISMS development, policy authorship and risk assessment.
• Strong knowledge of firewalls, IAM, patching and email/web security.
• Experience presenting security reporting to boards or execs.
• Excellent written English and ability to explain risk clearly.

Responsibilities

• Act as the named vCISO lead for a portfolio of client engagements.
• Establish monthly touchpoints with client stakeholders and manage scope.
• Chair service review meetings and address client queries.
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders including boards.
• Support scoping and proposal work for new engagements.
