I'm currently working with a well-established accountancy firm that is growing their indirect team nationally, with a focus on bringing in new talent to their Manchester and Leeds offices.

Your new role:

You will be working on a mixed client portfolio of large groups and OMBs, getting involved in a range of indirect tax advisory and compliance.

In terms of projects, you can expect to get involved in tenders, due diligence reports, VAT for insolvency/restructuring, review of VAT registration, and much more as part of this varied role.

What you'll need to be successful:

1. VAT advisory or compliance experience gained working with a practice
2. Solid understanding of VAT principles across a variety of sectors
3. Management experience is a bonus but not essential
