Qualifications

• Significant knowledge of UK VAT and recent regulatory changes.

• Prior people management experience and communication with senior leadership.

As a VAT Manager you will:

• Manage a comprehensive portfolio of clients, ensuring end-to-end project delivery is completed on time, within agreed budgets, and in compliance with quality control and risk management procedures.
• Control billings and cash collection in line with firm criteria while identifying and driving opportunities for continued business growth.
• Collaborate closely with an international network to advise clients on complex global VAT issues and cross-border transactions.
• Actively participate in new bids and proposals to secure new clients and expand service delivery.
• Mentor and manage junior team members, providing guidance and fostering talent within the specialist tax team.

As the successful candidate you will:

• Possess significant, in-depth experience and knowledge of UK VAT matters and recent key regulatory updates.
• Demonstrate proven experience of providing VAT services to a wide range of clients, including household names, global multinationals, and fast-paced privately owned businesses.
• Bring strong experience in managing a client portfolio, driving business development targets, and controlling billings.
• Have solid background in end-to-end project delivery, quality control procedures, and risk management.
• Possess prior people management experience with a confident ability to communicate regularly with senior managers, Directors, and Partners.
