PRO TAX in Manchester seeks an experienced VAT professional at Associate Director or Director level to lead a growing Indirect Tax team. You will own a portfolio of high-quality client assignments, deliver complex VAT advisory work and contribute to business development across the region.

You will work closely with Partners and Directors, mentor junior VAT professionals and help shape the Manchester VAT offering while maintaining the firm's commercial focus and technical excellence.

A leading Top 10 professional services firm is seeking an experienced VAT professional to join its growing Manchester-based Indirect Tax team at Associate Director or Director level.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a high-quality client portfolio, deliver complex VAT advisory work and play a key role in growing the regional practice.

The role offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders, Partners and Directors, with a strong emphasis on technical excellence, commerciality and business development.

About the Role

• Lead and deliver a broad range of complex VAT advisory assignments, including specialist technical work, due diligence, VAT governance and dispute support.
• Take ownership of a portfolio of clients, building trusted relationships and identifying opportunities to generate new business and grow existing accounts.
• Work closely with Partners and Directors across the firm to support business development and market activity, helping to expand the Manchester and wider North West VAT offering.
• Develop and mentor junior VAT professionals, contributing to the growth of the team and helping create a strong, collaborative and commercially focused culture.
