Job summary

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust seeks two experienced Clinical Vascular Scientists to support the vascular service at Royal Derby Hospital. The role focuses on broad vascular investigations, reporting, teaching and research within a growing department.

The team includes senior staff and locums; cross-site collaboration is expanding, with weekend on-call for TIA as part of the duties.

Qualifications

• Post graduate qualifcation in vascular ultrasound, AVS accreditation or equivalent experience
• Significant post graduate experience as Vascular sonographer
• Extensive knowledge and experience in performing a broad range of vascular investigation
• Knowledge of demand and capacity, audit and IPR's
• Accreditation in ILS

Responsibilities

• Perform carotid and temporal artery scans, vascular duplex scans, AAA and graft surveillance.
• Independently report your own scans and review colleagues' scans.
• Carry out non-imaging tests such as ABPI; contribute to teaching, audits and supervision.
• Support cross-site expansion of vascular ultrasound services.
