Job summary

City West Country Limited in Truro is seeking skilled Van Technicians to support two new ramps at our Mercedes-Benz workshop. You will service and repair vans to Mercedes standards, perform diagnostics, and complete detailed job sheets to ensure quality and traceability.

You will work within a supportive team, continually learning, and contributing to a high‑quality customer experience. Competitive uncapped bonus, top tools, extensive training, and a strong benefits package are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in the motor industry with vans preferred.
• Certified technician qualifications (Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance) required.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance to Mercedes-Benz standards.
• Diagnose and repair using workshop information systems.
• Complete service sheets and documentation for invoicing.
• Advise Service Team Manager of any additional work required.
• Conduct final inspections and tests on repairs.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Perform all maintenance services in line with the company and Mercedes-Benz standards and processes
• Complete a comprehensive diagnosis and repair job sheet
• Carry out all repair work using all available workshop information systems necessary to store vehicle system functions
• Advise Service Team Manager of any additional work required
• Carry out a final inspection and function tests on all complex repair work
• Complete final documentation for invoicing

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone with the right attitude, confidence and willingness to learn. You will:

• Have previous experience within the Motor industry, preferably experience with Vans
• Have Certified technician qualifications (Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance)
• Be a strong team player with great attention to detail
• Have an openness to learning and developing within the service industry
• Hold a full UK driving licence.
