Job summary

Severn Trent Plc is recruiting a Van Pack Operative to support the Central Birmingham area from the Minworth base. You will address customer issues, operate vacuum/jetting equipment, and resolve sewer-related problems while working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern totaling 36.75 hours per week, including weekends.

You’ll engage communities, maintain van readiness, and follow safety practices. A C1+ driving license is essential, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must hold a C1 or above driving license.
• Commitment to quality and first-time fix.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out CCTV surveys of drainage systems to diagnose and determine solutions.
• Liaising with control centre, operations and maintenance teams.
• Working within confined spaces and at heights.
• Operating the vehicle in compliance with road transport legislation and company policies.
• Ensuring vehicles are maintained in a clean and roadworthy condition.

We have a new opportunity to join Severn Trent’s Waste Customer Networks team covering ourCentral Birmingham area from our Minworth base! This team is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, improvements, and repair of our amazing waste network.

TheVanPack Operativerole will require you to be responsible for resolving various issues and offering our customers fantastic service when they need you the most.You’ll be working within our communities, focusing on resolving issues such as blocked sewers, using an array of impressive vacuum, jetting and blockage clearing equipment.The role works a 4 on 4 off rota, 36.75 hours a week (including weekends).

Other things you may be involved in are:

• Carrying out CCTV surveysof drainage systems to maintain, diagnose and determine the most appropriate solution.


• Liaising with other departments including our control centre, operations, and maintenance.


• Working within confined spaces and working at heights.


• Operating your vehicle in compliance with road transport legislation and Severn Trent policies and procedures.


• Ensuring vehicles are maintained in a clean & roadworthy condition both internally and externally.
