Job summary

Driver Hire Southampton is seeking a reliable Van Driver to join a client team delivering and collecting heating and cooling units across the region. The role is full-time and temp-to-perm, with a focus on independent work and on-road responsibilities.

You will load/unload using a 3.5T tail lift, assist with basic installations, and follow routes with support and training provided for long-term progression in the refrigeration engineering sector.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence held for at least 2 years.
• Own transport to travel to and from work.
• Comfortable with manual handling and heavy lifting.
• Mechanical engineering or electrical experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent time management and customer service skills.
• A stable work history with long-term employment.
• Flexible approach to overtime when required.

Van Driver - Heating & Cooling Equipment | Temp to Perm | Southampton

Driver Hire Southampton is currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Van Driver to join one of our well-established clients. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity delivering and collecting heating and cooling units across customer sites throughout the region.

This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, being out on the road, and isn't afraid of physical work. It also provides an excellent introduction to the refrigeration engineering industry, making it a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within this growing sector.

The Role

• Monday to Friday
• Minimum of 40 hours per week, with regular overtime available
• Delivering and collecting heating and cooling units to customer sites
• Working independently and managing your daily route
• Loading and unloading equipment using a 3.5T tail lift vehicle
• Assisting with the basic installation of equipment, including positioning units and setting up simple systems
• Full training provided
